SYMBOLS IN THE PATCH
BLUEBERRIES
New Jersey is very well known for the large production of delicious blueberries.

HOT AIR BALLOON
New Jersey is home of one of the top 100 festivals in North America. In the past 38 years, the Hot Balloon Festival of NJ has attracted more than 165,000 visitors annually due to the great quantity of balloons that fill our summer skies (more than 100 balloons).
HORSE
Beside being our State Animal we are also home for the USA National Equestrian Team and many horse activities.

FERRIS WHEEL
New Jersey is very well known for its shores and boardwalks. There you can find multiple ferries wheels, including one of the tallest in the east-coast (156 feet high) in Wildwood. By the way, did you know that during summer you can even have a breakfast while enjoying your ride on the wheel?

AMERICAN GOLDFINCH (BIRD)
Is the State Bird (we share it with Washington and Iowa). Even if it is not as popular as the Northern Cardinal or the Robin, this little bird is symbol of our beautiful state.

COMMON BLUE VIOLET
These violets can be found in our own fields, lawns, and meadows—anywhere that they can find warm spring sunshine. This is the reason why they are our State Flowers.

GREEN FIELD
Even if New Jersey is well known for many attractions like revolutionary war sites, historical buildings, Princeton University, Thomas A. Edison, the Statue of Liberty (yes, it's closer to NJ than NY :D), we are also called the The Garden State, due to our historical agricultural production. It was Abraham Browning of Camden forged the nickname the Garden State, when said that our Garden State is an immense barrel, filled with good things to eat and open at both ends, with Pennsylvanians grabbing from one end and New Yorkers from the other.
