About the event

The Cycling honor consists of theoretical, practical and physical portions. You will learn about the parts of the bicycle and their functions. You will also learn how to give proper maintenance and repair. It also includes a requirement to complete 4 different rides in different locations: Three 10-mile rides and one 50-mile ride. The first session will begin on Saturday with an overnight stay at TVRC. Please bring your own food and water as it will not be supplied. Overnight stay will require a tent. Also, please ensure you have a hydration pack (water backpack) to take on the rides. All of our rides will be conducted on Sunday mornings. The breakdown of the classes are listed below:

Sept 7: Tranquility Camp (theory portion) 7:30 PM-camp overnight

Ride 1: 10 mile cycling/Sept 8, 7 AM-9 AM TVRC

Ride 2: 10 mile cycling/Sept 15, 8 AM- 10 AM Liberty State Park from Jersey City to Hoboken 10 mile cycling

Ride 3: 10 mile cycling/Oct 13, 8 AM - 10 AM Conference Office Parking lot Delaware River

Ride 4: 50 mile cycling/Oct 27, 8 AM- (within a 10-hour span) Location TBD in class
